Warranty & Repair Policy
This Warranty and Repair Policy outlines the terms that apply to services provided by Informatique Expert Inc. By proceeding with our services, you acknowledge and agree to the terms described below.
Service Warranty Coverage
Informatique Expert Inc. provides a limited warranty on specific repairs performed by our technicians.
- Warranty coverage applies only to the specific issue addressed during the original service.
- The warranty period will be clearly communicated at the time of service.
- Warranty coverage begins on the date the service is completed.
If the same issue reoccurs within the warranty period, we will inspect the device and provide corrective service at no additional labor cost, where applicable.
What Is Not Covered
Our warranty does not cover:
- Physical damage after service completion
- Liquid damage or exposure to moisture
- Accidental drops, impact, or misuse
- Software issues unrelated to the original service
- Issues caused by third-party modifications or unauthorized service
- Pre-existing internal damage not identified during initial assessment
Any new or unrelated issues will be quoted separately.
Customer Responsibilities
Before submitting a device for service, customers are responsible for:
- Backing up all personal data
- Removing passwords or providing necessary access credentials
- Removing SIM cards, memory cards, or personal accessories
Informatique Expert Inc. is not responsible for data loss, corrupted files, or software issues that may occur during the service process.
Repair Authorization
By approving a repair quote, you authorize Informatique Expert Inc. to perform the agreed-upon service. If additional issues are discovered during the process, we will contact you for approval before proceeding with any additional work. Devices that are not collected within a reasonable time after notification may be subject to storage fees.
Diagnostic Services
In some cases, a diagnostic fee may apply to determine the cause of an issue. This fee will be communicated in advance and may be applied toward the final service cost if the repair proceeds.
Parts & Components
Replacement parts used may be new, refurbished, or aftermarket components, depending on availability and customer preference. The type of part used will be disclosed before service is completed
Limitation of Liability
While we take all reasonable precautions to protect your device, Informatique Expert Inc. is not liable for:
- Pre-existing defects or hidden damage
- Loss of data or software
- Indirect or consequential damages
- Device failure due to manufacturer defects
Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific service provided.
Warranty Claims Process
To make a warranty claim:
- Contact us within the stated warranty period.
- Provide proof of service (invoice or receipt).
- Bring the device in for inspection.
We will assess whether the issue falls within warranty coverage and advise you accordingly.
Policy Updates
Informatique Expert Inc. reserves the right to modify this Warranty and Repair Policy at any time. Updates will be posted on our website.
